Security Specialist Position - U.S. Army Cyber Command

Job Highlights

Location: Network Enterprise Center (NEC)

Role: Security Specialist to support Command Security Manager

Veteran's Preference: Applies to eligible candidates

Qualifications

Requirements: Current Army DCIPS employee or Veteran's Preference eligibility

  • 1+ year of experience in managing security programs (COMSEC, PERSEC, INFOSEC, PHYSEC)
  • Experience in security clearances with Defense Information Security System (DISS)
  • OR a Ph.D. in a closely related field (e.g., International Relations, Law, Political Science)

Note: Relevant volunteer and military experience will be credited.

Responsibilities

  • Administer all intelligence-related security programs for NEC
  • Initiate security clearance investigations for NEC personnel
  • Develop and implement PHYSEC policies for building and equipment protection
  • Ensure compliance with security directives through facility walk-throughs and report deficiencies

Specialized Experience

Applicants must have experience editing personnel records within a security clearance system, such as DISS, and must demonstrate expertise in at least two of the following areas:

  • Communications Security (COMSEC)
  • Personnel Security (PERSEC)
  • Information Security (INFOSEC)
  • Physical Security (PHYSEC)
