Job Title: Sr. Cloud Consultant, US Federal Professional Services
Job Description:
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for an experienced Sr. Cloud Consultant to join our US Federal Professional Services team. This role is instrumental in helping the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community implement innovative, scalable cloud computing solutions. This is a hands-on position where you will drive cloud adoption, lead architecture discussions, and ensure cloud solutions align with federal security and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement cloud strategies for DoD customers.
- Ensure compliance with federal security frameworks, including FedRAMP, DOD RMF, and JSIG.
- Engage in deep-dive education and design exercises to build cutting-edge cloud solutions on AWS.
- Work with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud performance and drive feature innovations.
- Support large-scale project management, providing expertise in serverless distributed solutions, cloud migrations, and infrastructure.
Qualifications:
- Top Secret Security Clearance (active and maintained).
- Bachelor’s degree or 7+ years of professional/military experience.
- 7+ years in technical specialist, design, and architecture roles.
- 5+ years with databases (SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).
- Extensive experience in cloud-based solutions (AWS or equivalent), network systems, and security.
- Demonstrated experience with federal application and network security standards.
- Preferred: Background in AWS architecture and DoD Special Access Programs.
